My journey as a yoga instructor began unexpectedly at the Chicago Marathon in 2005. After suffering a knee injury due to minimal training, I tried physical therapy without much success. A friend suggested yoga, and after my first class, my knee pain disappeared—and I was hooked.
I quickly discovered that yoga goes far beyond poses. Inspired by its transformative power, I began studying all aspects of yoga, leading to a profound spiritual awakening. This journey empowered me to blend nearly 20 years of medical experience with yoga methodology, creating *Neuro-Yoga*: a unique approach focused on aligning body and breath by integrating natural range of motion with individual mindfulness.
As a Latina, I also recognized a gap in yoga accessibility within Spanish-speaking communities. To bridge this, I offer all my classes bilingually, bringing yoga’s benefits to the Chicagoland area’s diverse communities.
I’m excited to guide you through a practice that’s as healing as it is empowering. Nos vemos pronto!

My journey of self-discovery began at UIC, where I reflected on my identity as a Latina woman and survivor. After graduating, I transitioned from volunteer to staff at a community organization in La Villita, reconnecting with my culture and gaining a deeper understanding of community work. These experiences inspired me to create opportunities for underserved communities, especially my own in Chicago Lawn.
In 2020, I reconnected with my creative passions, practicing movement, meditation, and dance. This led me to discover yoga, which I immediately fell in love with for its ability to unite mind, body, and spirit. Encouraged by my peers, I became a certified Zumba instructor and later earned my RYT-200 certification through Neuro-Yoga Institute in 2022.
Since then, I’ve taught yoga at Neuro-Yoga Institute, Cristel Yoga Estudio, and Harold Washington College, as well as Zumba classes and quinceañera choreography. I’m now pursuing an Associate’s in Dance with the goal of becoming a Registered Dance Movement Therapist (R-DMT).
Through my teaching, I strive to create brave spaces for self-exploration, connection, and growth. My goal is to help others embrace their authentic selves and find balance on and off the mat.

Yoga has been a life-transforming experience for me. As someone who loves diving deep into what inspires me and sharing it with others, it was only natural for me to explore yoga philosophy. That passion led me to enroll in teacher training right here at Neuro Yoga, where I could expand my knowledge and share it with others.
At Neuro Yoga, I teach Yoga 101—breaking down poses step by step with a focus on proper alignment. My goal is to help you build confidence in your practice and feel at ease on your mat. I bring positive energy to every class, offering little nuggets of wisdom while guiding you to calm your mind, body, and breath. One of my favorite parts of Neuro-Yoga is the sound healing session we include at the end of every class, helping balance the body's energy.
When I’m not teaching, you’ll often find me in class strengthening my own practice. Outside the studio, I work as a licensed esthetician, where I encourage my clients to prioritize self-care. I'm also a proud mom of two wonderful daughters.
My goal is to help you find balance—on and off the mat—through the transformative practice of yoga.
I’m Claudia, and my passion lies in fostering the emotional well-being of my community. Since settling in Chicago in 1994, I’ve been deeply involved in serving the local community through various roles. I’ve had the privilege of working with impactful organizations such as the National Museum of Mexican Art and Mujeres Latinas en Acción. These experiences have shaped my understanding of community needs and strengthened my commitment to creating spaces where healing and growth can flourish.
This dedication to building a healthy and thriving community fuels my teaching style at Neuro-Yoga Institute. My approach blends mindfulness, movement, and a deep respect for the unique journey of each individual. My goal is to help you not only nurture your body but also cultivate emotional balance and resilience.
Whether you’re new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, I aim to create an environment where you feel supported, empowered, and connected to yourself and those around you. Together, we can take steps toward building a stronger, healthier community—one practice at a time.

Hi, I’m Anna, and I’m thrilled to guide you on your yoga journey! From the moment I was introduced to yoga, it quickly became a passion, and I’ve been dedicated to the practice ever since.
As a nurse, I was naturally drawn to the healing aspects of yoga. Through my practice, I’ve experienced profound healing on physical, mental, and spiritual levels—healing that traditional allopathic medicine alone couldn’t provide. This transformative experience inspires my goal: to help you achieve your own healing, whether it’s physical, mental, or emotional.
I’m honored to be part of this wonderful community, and I look forward to seeing you in the studio. Sharing my motto ----movement is medicine!
